Chang Chay Cooking would like to thank all đŸ™đŸ» for visiting, taking the time to watch videos, read, try and share our recipes. To celebrate Chang Chay Cooking having more than 1k subscribers, I would like to share my story to whom it may care and support.

Each person chooses any vegetarian diets can be motivated by many different factors, such as religion, love for animals, desire to better protect the environment, or want to prevent and treat certain diseases.

Chang Chay Cooking was born with the main desire towards health and the environment, and sharing tasty recipes from my kitchen to yours to make this pathway be more enjoyable. Before, honestly I didn't pay much attention to food and environment. I just chose food that delicious to eat, thing that convenient to use, without deeply considering about its origin, ingredients or quality, or its impact to environment. Since the global pandemic began in 2020, there have been many changes that I have more time to look back and reflect many things. But the most important thing I see is health, without health we can not do anything no matter what it is.

Even when we are healthy but the living environment is not, our health is still affected because everything is interconnected. Today, climate change is becoming increasing serious, causing not only to natural disasters, catastrophes, destruction of ecosystems, negative impacts on business, production, life, but also affects the air where we live and breathe every day. It also increases the risk of spreading dangerous diseases such as Ebola, bird flu and Covid-19 as we have seen.

Your health and body are your choices but the environment is not. Even the smallest impacts or contributions to the environment are affecting to us, to our friends and family and future generations. Small actions make a big impact when many people do them together. One of the ways to make a positive contribution to the environment is to adopt a plant-based diet.

With my experience of living, studying and traveling in many countries, having access to reliable studies, and my time spending on researching many scientific sources, I personally find that plant-based diets only positively contributes to the environment, reduce emissions, reduce consumption of resources such as land and water, etc., but also bring many health benefits such as: reducing the risk of diabetes, heart disease, obesity, cancer, stroke. This is also one of the reasons that I and my family choose to switch to a vegetarian diet. I am on this journey, step by step to become a healthier vegan, and make a small positive contribution to the environment.

I know that each individual has different perceptions, choices and preferences, even in cooking and recipes, whether it's the taste, ingredients, or cooking methods, and I fully respect the difference. So, I hope that somewhere a part of your mind, your tastes, preferences, and thoughts and mine are in the same rhythm 😊. Or even if there are differences, we may find way to learn and share each other's feelings and thoughts in a positive way.

Like most people, my starting point was raised and enjoyed many delicious non-vegetarian dishes. So this is a new path to me and my family. The dishes shared and introduced at Chang Chay Cooking are all dishes that I and my family find delicious, or at least easy to eat. The purpose of making a video to share the recipe at this channel is not to be a food blogger or an influencer, but just with the pure desire to share delicious, easy-to-eat and easy-to-make dishes for vegetarian and vegan. Hope that it might help your path more enjoyable. And most of all, I really hope that the sharing here will help contribute to the community so that vegetarian and vegan dishes are more diverse, rich and not only full of nutrition and taste, also bringing good health to my and your families. But whatever your diet is, you are always welcome at our Kitchen! 💞

How about you? Let's share your thoughts!

P.S: One thing I would like to ensure that for your physical and mental health, please remember to take Vitamin B12 supplement (up to 6 days/week). Although our liver can store a large amount of vitamin B12 that can be used for 3-5 years, but it is no longer available after that. Vitamin B12 in plants is very rare, especially in in-land plants. So if you don't take any nutrition from animals sources, like eggs and milk, please pay more attention to Vitamin B12 sources. My suggestions with vitamin B12 supplementation would be prioritized nature sources like microalgae such as spirulina, chlorella, then latter supplement tablets if you can.

Wishing you all good health 💓
